Injury Recovery
If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident, it is important to look after yourself and actively participate in your recovery. To recover well:
- Take part in the recommended treatment
- Stay optimistic and focused on your recovery
- Return to your usual activities as soon as possible
- Stay in touch with your CTP Insurer about your claim, treatment, and recovery.
Research shows that health outcomes improve if an injured person receives the right treatment at the right time, and returns to their usual activities.
If you are worried about your recovery, or feel like you need more support, discuss this with your healthcare provider and contact your CTP Insurer.
CTP Insurer support
If the CTP Insurer has accepted your claim, they will pay for treatment, care and support that is:
- reasonable and necessary, and
- treating injuries caused by the motor vehicle accident.
If you are unsure whether the insurer will pay for something, contact the CTP Insurer before the treatment or service, to check whether they will cover it.
